We are happy to report that the field Internship project is going well and is actually ahead of schedule. These Interns serve as an entry-level field cartographers on a team that identifies and records abandoned mine features on public lands. They identify mining related features in a survey of a mineral district where they methodically traverse the area searching for features such as audits, shafts, trenches, structures, prospects, and waste/ overburden dumps. These positions are offered through our partnership with the Bureau of Land Management, as well as AZ Serve and AmeriCorps. Who's participating?
