The Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County and Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona will be holding their annual Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Nights on December 3 at Yavapai College in Prescott and December 4 at the Verde campus. Both events will provide opportunities for area students, families and local educators to learn more about the many post-secondary scholarships that are available for both traditional and non-traditional college students. Last year, Yavapai County students received over $140,000 in scholarship funding!

Environmental we believe that science is for everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, or economic background. All scholarship essays are blindly reviewed by our Board of Directors and then judged based on content, logic and construction, and mechanics of writing. We recently conducted a demographic analysis of all of our scholarship recipients. To qualify each recipient must have been currently (or recently) enrolled in a STEM program, have a GPA above 2.5, and complete an essay explaining how they would use the funds to cultivate their academic goals, research, plan for continuing their education, or potential career. Our Board members then blindly reviewed their essays and voted. Each of the recipients below did a fantastic job and we commend them on their achievement:
