Start Date: Upon the successful completion of Background Check (please list your availability in application)
Position Pay: $15 - $18 per hour depending on experience
Part Time: Starting at 20 hours per week with potential for increasing hours or full time depending on productivity levels and number of sales generated.
Full Time: 40 hours per week

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a motivated individual to work in our gem and mineral gallery who has experience in building and maintaining product displays for in store and online sales. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of common minerals and be able to explain descriptions and collections locations to customers in a confident manner. The positions will include working the sales register, maintaining inventory, as well as documenting and posting our collection across online platforms. Experience in sales is necessary, online sales and management experience are a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Physical Demands:
To sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, lift objects up to 50 lbs, be in proximity to lapidary equipment and mineral specimen.
Work Environment:
Individual will work in an office and gallery setting using illuminated computer displays with possible background noise and regular interruptions.
Background Check:
This position is a critical position and subject to a criminal background check. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history, identity check, and fingerprint clearance.

- Experience writing/editing and proofreading a variety of technical materials.
- Communication skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals.
- Organizational and time management skills to coordinate and track multiple projects simultaneously.
- Time management skills and the ability to meet a deadline.
- Experience with software programs for word processing, photo editing, and point of sale

- Write precise, well organized, and grammatically correct catalog descriptions postings.
- Create backdrops for and take professional photos of display pieces to post on sales sites.
- Maintain an accurate product inventory of all items in gallery in store and across online sales platforms.
- Perform essential responsibilities in a timely manner with excellent attention to detail.
- Effectively, accurately, and professionally communicate in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
- Be able to work independently and/or cooperatively as part of a team.
- Research and/or provide information to clarify situations and resolve problems.
- Communicate freely about questions, concerns, or issues of technical clarity and precision.
- Maintain a strong degree of confidentiality, integrity, and good judgment.
